Viticulture
In Fully, there are two sources: Domaine des Follatères, just around the bend in the Rhône, with loess and silt soils for the Gamay and Pinot Noir; and Domaine des Perches, with gneiss and limestone moraine soils for the Cornalin. In the commune of Martigny, the Merlot is planted on the banks of the Dranse, on light, gravelly soil.
Oenology
The blending is decided on the basis of numerous sample tests, which begin in January and continue until March. Blind tastings are used to select the best blend. Aged separately in vats. Blending takes place after malolactic fermentation. Bottled in the spring following the harvest.
