Another success for François Mitjaville's favourite estate in the Bourgeais. The nose is creamy, with ripe, expressive fruit and hints of sweet spices and liquorice. On the palate, it has a silky texture and ample volume, showing a very fine richness of constitution. The grapes are very ripe, but not too soft. This is a wine that is both fleshy and vigorous.

Viticulture

François Mitjaville (Tertre Roteboeuf in St-Emilion) masterfully relaunched this estate just over ten years ago, importing here the viticultural model that had proved so successful at Le Tertre as well as his taste for very high grape maturity and opulent character.

Oenology

Aged 50% in new barrels and the rest in 1-wine barrels. The vineyard is located on the first slope of the appellation: the lower part of the slope is vinified and matured separately and bottled under the name Domaine de Cambes.
