After half a century of ageing in wood, this wine is at its peak. It has reached its "golden age", showing perfect balance. Notes of rum and sultanas, cloves, nutmeg and a touch of cracked black pepper. Prunes, quince and apricots dance on your palate, while the citrus zest delivers a nice freshness to balance the richness of the wine. The texture and weight of the wine envelop the palate and finish bright, fresh and refined. The wine lingers for an eternity, inviting you to drink it again.

Blended from rare Tawny Ports aged in oak barrels for five decades, Taylor's Golden Age Tawny Special Edition is offered in a limited edition for collectors of fine wines.

Oenology

This 50 Year Old Port comes from the eastern part of the Douro, where the finest vineyards are found that produce the longest lasting wines. Before being blended, the individual wines are matured in barrels that have been set aside by Taylor's expert team of coopers.
