It has a superb amber colour tending towards orange and above all intense and elegant aromas of nuts, beeswax and light touches of spices. On the palate, it is dry and very refined, with aromas of hazelnut and a soft minerality, stretched by a long maturation that refines it considerably. Its infinite refinement invites you to prolong the tasting... 93/100 Wine Advocate, R. Parker

It takes its name "C.P." from Calle Ponce, the street where the solera was once stored. The grapes come from 50 year old vines from a single vineyard, Inocente, in the famous Pago Macharnudo Alto.

Valdespino is the only sherry house that controls the entire production process: vineyards, vinification, ageing and bottling. It has facilities in the three towns of the D.O.: Jerez, Sanlúcar and El Puerto. It is also one of the few owners of vineyards in Pago Macharnudo, considered a "grand cru". Finally, the winery is the only one in the appellation to produce single-vineyard wines: Inocente, Tío Diego, Viejo C.P. and Cardenal. The wines are still fermented according to the age-old traditional method. And very small...
