The vineyard is located on the Santa Rosa Road Corridor, within the Santa Rita Hills appellation. It is cultivated according to organic farming practices. The particularity of this appellation lies in the variety of its terroirs: the soils are sandy, clay-limestone, limestone and schist. This cuvée is a faithful ambassador for the quality potential of the region as a whole. The terroirs: Bentrock vineyard, La Encantada vineyard, La Rincontada vineyard and Sanford & Benedict vinyard.
The wine is vinified with an average of 50% whole bunches, using only indigenous yeasts. Extraction is delicate (gentle crushing and punching down for three weeks) and ageing is long (18 months in 228-litre neutral French oak with 15% new wood).
