This is one of the most beautiful "natural" Chenin wines of Anjou! Its tension gives it a racy and noble style. Its aromatic complexity (citrus fruits, spices, white and exotic fruits), its elegant and controlled bitterness shows an optimum maturity of the grapes. A wine to make Richard Leroy, Bruno Rochard's neighbour and friend, jealous.

Age of vines: 20 years. Soil type: schist/clay-gravel. Parent rock: schist. Yield/hectare: 14 hl/ha. Certified organic cultivation.

Oenology

Long fermentation, malolactic fermentation, aged for 12 months in barrels and 9 months in vats. SO2 added per hectolitre: 0.5 g during racking and 1.5 g at bottling.

Athletic and passionate about the vine, the man doesn't count the hours he spends tending the vines, which are undoubtedly among the best kept in Anjou and even in the whole of the Loire Valley.
