Viticulture

Vignes situées sur la commune de Randazzo, à la Contrada Calderara. Plantation en 1917 et 1947. Terroir de cendres volcaniques, pierre ponce et morceaux de roche expulsés du volcan. Le vignoble est agrippé à la face Nord de l'Etna, à 800-900 mètres d'altitude.

Oenology

Macération de 10 à 15 jours suivie d'un élevage de 18 mois en fûts de chêne (25% de bois neuf). La fermentation malolactique est faite en fût. Mise sans filtration.

Created in the early 2000s by the charismatic Marco De Grazia, Tenuta delle Terre Nere is located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in the most renowned area. The property consists of 34 hectares divided into 24 plots. Due to the volcanic origin, the soils differ greatly from one vineyard to another and also within each one, which increases the complexity of the wines as much as their personality.
