On a large volcanic terroir, from old vines and thanks to a favourable climate, Etna's wines offer a surprising expression of their origin, especially when interpreted by artists of the calibre of Marco de Grazia. This one offers balsamic notes with a touch of incense, with a background of black fruits. It is both tannic and greedy, slender and unspeakably fresh. A must-try!

Technique

Viticulture

Vines located in the municipality of Randazzo, and planted in 1927 and 1967. Volcanic soil clinging to the north face of Mount Etna, at 650-700-900 metres above sea level.

Oenology

Vinification 100% in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats, then 6 months in 200L French barrels.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Veal sweetbreads with morels - Duck pie with spices - Guinea fowl.

Tenuta delle Terre Nere

Created in the early 2000s by the charismatic Marco De Grazia, Tenuta delle Terre Nere is located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in the most renowned area. The property consists of 34 hectares divided into 24 plots. Due to the volcanic origin, the soils differ greatly from one vineyard to another and also within each one, which increases the complexity of the wines as much as their personality.
