Premier Cru located beneath the Virgin Mary statue ‘Notre Dame de Bonne Espérance’ overlooking Pernand. Frétille is the name of the hill on which the village is nestled. The vines face south, in a valley, on steep slopes and poor soil: 40 cm of earth, then white marl and limestone. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful Premier Cru in the commune.
Oenology
Pressing is carried out using a pneumatic press and lasts two hours. After settling for 24 hours at low temperatures, the juice is placed in barrels for fermentation. The proportion of new wood is 30%. Bottling takes place after 12 months of ageing.
