Mas de Daumas Gassac is a wine that can have two lives, depending on when you open the bottle. Freshness for the first three years, if you appreciate the wonderful fruity flavours. You can then drink it as an aperitif or with a meal. But a second life appears between the third and sixth years! The fruit fades away, evolving towards flavours of Xerez and old Sauternes, with oxidative nuances of great finesse. Jancis Robinson : 17/20 ; Wine Spectator : 90/100

The Mas de Daumas Gassac is located in the middle of the Arboussas massif, on a deep, perfectly drained soil, poor in humus and plant matter, rich in mineral oxides. This terroir was formed by the accumulation of glacial sandstone by the wind during the Riss, Mindel and Guntz glaciations.


Skin maceration at 10 OC for 5 to 7 days, fermentation in stainless steel tanks between 20 and 25 OC for 3 weeks. Aged in vats.
