It is still discreet, but one can already feel the emergence of a real personality, marked by greedy notes of black fruit mixed with a hint of roasted cocoa - a blend showing superb complexity from its youth. The palate shows great power, but not a lack of freshness, with an elegant structure. The concentration and tannic structure are perfectly balanced by the acidity and fruit.

Viticulture

The Mas de Daumas Gassac is located in the middle of the Arboussas massif, on a deep, perfectly drained soil, poor in humus and plant matter, rich in mineral oxides. This terroir was formed by the accumulation of glacial sandstone by the wind during the Riss, Mindel and Guntz glaciations.

Oenology

Classic Médoc vinification - long maceration - no filtration. Aged between 12 and 15 months in oak barrels (1 to 7 years old).

Suggestions for accompaniment

Rack of lamb, cream of split peas with cumin - Duck breast with honey and sherry vinegar - Venison nuts.
