Gevrey-Chambertin Clos de la Cabotte, Marchand-Grillot - 2023

This cuvée comes from a vineyard that adds a subtle extra depth. The nose is denser and more concentrated, with black cherry, blackberry and a hint of liquorice. When aired, notes of undergrowth and fine spices appear. On the palate, the texture is fuller than the village wine, with tight but ripe tannins, beautiful energy and a long, slightly mineral finish. A Gevrey that asserts its character while remaining perfectly controlled.
