This is one of the greatest wines of the appellation, produced by this cult estate from vines aged between 60 and 100 years, and which every wine-lover should taste at least once in their life! It has a deep, liquorice and spicy nose, followed by an opulent, fat palate with firm tannins and extraordinary density. A great long-distance runner, but already approachable.

Viticulture

This cuvée is made from four parcels located on different terroirs that complement each other in the blend (a "southern" terroir composed of rolled pebbles that brings fatness and power; a terroir located on the same site as Chaupin for freshness and acidity; a terroir of red clay covered with rolled pebbles but very late in the season because it is located in the north of the appellation, which brings structure and body; and finally a sandy-limestone hillside that provides finesse). Surface area: 6 ha. The vines are cultivated without pesticides or insecticides and the manure is of natural origin. The soil is worked without weedkillers to maintain the aeration and flexibility of the soil. Yield of 28 hl/ha.
