Viticulture
At the time of the 1855 classification, the three Doisy estates (Daëne, Dubroca and Védrines) formed a single estate. Until 1846, the estate belonged to the Chevaliers de Védrines. For nearly 200 years, the Castéja family has been running it with passion. The subsoil of this terroir is composed of clay-limestone and shallow gravel, set on a limestone plateau with asteria. The vines are planted at a density of 6,500 per hectare. The average age of the vines is 35 years.
Oenology
After fermentation in barrels for 21 to 28 days, the wine is matured in 60% new barrels for 15 to 18 months. The average yield is 10 hl/ha.
