Cadillac, Clos du Château de Cadillac - 2017

On the slopes overlooking the right bank of the Garonne, Cadillac boasts a wine-growing history dating back over two thousand years. This is the birthplace of some very fine sweet wines at very reasonable prices, which can rival many a Sauternes on a blind tasting. This one is a fine example: notes of candied fruit and mango, indicative of botrytis, precede a mellow, perfectly balanced palate. A real bargain!
