There is always something monumental about Ravera, a kind of quiet strength! Its aromas are a tangle of cherry, rose petal, raspberry jam, accompanied by notes of orange peel, citron and herbs like mint, lavender and thyme. The attack is suave, the wine both opulent and civilised, unctuous, with a kind of gravitas in the flavour, nobly candied and spicy notes, rather like the Bonnes Mares in Burgundy.
