For the first time, Daumas Gassac is offering its four historical importers, including CAVE, old vintages that have been kept for ten years in the ideal cellars (14°C and 80% humidity) of the estate. So it is 2006 that opens the ball. A great wine, fine, stylish, both dense and fresh, with a complex finish of cardamom, violets and sweet spices! Ideal to drink decanted and served at 18° with a great red meat during the holidays.

Viticulture

The Mas de Daumas Gassac is located in the middle of the Arboussas massif, on a deep, perfectly drained soil, poor in humus and plant matter, rich in mineral oxides. This terroir was formed by the accumulation of glacial sandstone by the wind during the Riss, Mindel and Guntz glaciations.

Oenology

Classic Médoc vinification - long maceration - no filtration. Aged between 12 and 15 months in oak barrels (1 to 7 years old).

Suggestions for accompaniment

Rack of lamb, cream of split peas with cumin - Duck breast with honey and sherry vinegar - Hazelnuts of venison.
