Viticulture
Grand Cru with a total surface area of 17 hectares, mostly planted with Riesling. We own 1.60 hectares cultivated in Biodynamic methods like the rest of the estate. The soil is made up of a combination of pink Vosges sandstone and volcanic sediments, a unique combination in Alsace. Its ideal altitude (between 250 and 300 metres) protects it from excessive heat, while preserving a great complexity in the wines.
Oenology
It was pressed in whole bunches using a pneumatic press and fermentation with indigenous yeasts lasted several months, which is beneficial to the complexity of the aromas and the ageing potential. It remains on its lees for a year in stainless steel tanks before being bottled in September.
