Cavesa le CAVE, le club des amateurs de vins exquis

Loupiac, Cuvée classique, Château Dauphiné-Rondillon - 2016

With its bright and intense golden hue, its concentration and visual density are impressive for an "entry-level" wine. The first nose is an absolute delight, with notes of candied lemon, honey candy, pine resin, spices, dried fruit and exotic fruit: the aromatic complexity is already there! It enters the mouth with a lot of fullness and an invigorating energy, a real dynamism and a jubilant juicy side. It continues with notes of citrus zest, superb bitters and coats its sweetness with great class. A little wonder!

From the property, it is easy to see some of the Grands Crus of Sauternes: Rayne-Vigneau, Yquem, Rieussec, Lafaurie-Peyraguey. This exceptional terroir is made up of a large gravelly ridge on the surface, followed by a clay-gravel soil, before reaching the limestone bedrock. The combination of this terroir, a south/south-west exposure, and a privileged geographical location offer exceptional conditions for the production of great sweet white wines. The work in the vineyard is carried out in a traditional manner and with respect for the environment: all the tasks in the vineyard are done manually (pruning, thinning out, harvesting). Organic amendments are controlled, treatments are carried out with natural contact products such as sulphur flower. The vegetative cycle and natural control are favoured with grassing in...
