Liquid geography
Domaine Impérial, created in 1850 by Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew of Emperor Napoléon 1st, is located on the west coast of Corsica, facing the Bay of Argentella and the prestigious Scandola nature reserve. It benefits from a strong maritime influence, giving freshness and salinity to its wines. Prince Pierre Napoléon is also one of only two estates in Corsica to benefit from the 'château' designation. Out of a total of 200 hectares of land, 35 hectares of vines were planted by the Grisoli brothers after meticulous soil analysis on virgin granite soils. The estate's ampelographic base is made up of 12 endemic grape varieties. The estate is farmed organically and according to biodynamic principles. Five different cuvées are produced, and they dazzled us with their refinement and breed at the last Wine Paris trade show. We predict a future for this duo that could resemble that of the Comte Abbatucci estate...
