This is the estate's largest Pinot Noir cuvée and also its rarest! Ruby colour. The nose is lively and spicy, with subtle aromas of roasting, black cherry, ripe wild berries, floral notes (rose petals) and the very fine minerality of the limestone soils. Deep, powerful and structured on the palate, with velvety tannins. Perfectly integrated acidity maintains the balance between power and freshness.

Viticulture

The Herrenacker vineyard is a locality in the Fläscher Feld. Here the Adanks work with French pinot noir selections, rooted in deep soil with a higher proportion of clay.

Oenology

Selective manual harvesting. Spontaneous fermentation with 100% whole grapes in open wooden vats. Matured for 20 months in 228-litre French oak barrels. 50% new wood. Bottled unfiltered.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Quasi of veal - Beef tartar - Roasted guinea fowl with lime - Risotto with the flavours of the undergrowth.
