Champagne Extra-Brut, Les Revenants, Etienne Calsac

Les Revenants is made from forgotten grape varieties, hence the name. The idea was born in 2010, when Etienne decided to plant Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier and Arbane on Les Fours, a family plot in Sézanne. Six years later, he decided to vinify this plot in a single 600-litre barrel. This is a champagne totally apart, with very fine bubbles that evoke crisp fruit and dried flowers. Artisan-winemaker, this is how Etienne Calsac presents himself, a young harvester-manipulator established in Avize on the Côte des Blancs, who has taken over the vines from his grandparents. 2.8 ha in total spread over Avize, Grauves and Bisseuil in the great valley of the Marne. The average age of the vineyard is thirty years and the estate is certified "high environmental value". Etienne Calsac attaches great importance to working the soil and produces confidential champagnes of great purity, incisive and fine. 70% of the estate's production is exported.
