The estate's oldest vineyard, La Solana, was planted in 1911. More than an expression of the grape variety, it expresses the fusion between the place and the very old vines, which are very low yielding and very precocious. The result is a wine with an expressive, southern nose (kirsch, laurel). The palate is very smooth, with very fine, elegant tannins. A real treasure!

Technique

Viticulture

The estate's oldest vineyard, La Solana, was planted in 1911. Biodynamic viticulture. Very low-yielding vines. North-east facing with a constant breeze. Early ripening. Altitude: 370m. Laminated "Licorella" blue slate soils. Density: 5,500 vines/ha.

Oenology

Harvested by hand and selected grape by grape. Harvested in one day in mid-September. Maceration without destemming, in oak barrels for 40 days, aged for 18 months in a large barrel.
