Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh sec, Labranche-Laffont - 2023

This is an appellation steeped in history that has all the potential to rival the best dry Jurançon. And for good reason. This blend of petit and gros manseng, vinified with precision, reflects the taste of this winegrower for aromatic whites (truffle, citron), lively and smooth, salivating. A discovery and an original wine, with an unusual quality/price ratio!

Viticulture

In 1993, upon graduating from wine school, Christine Dupuy took over the family's 6 hectares of vineyards, becoming the youngest winegrower in the appellation. Adopted and supported by the profession, she did an amazing job right from the start. She lowered yields, adopted malolactic fermentation in barrels and tried her hand at biodynamics on 2 hectares. On clay-loam terroirs with gravel, the whites were planted 35 years ago, facing east.

Oenology

Traditional vinification in stainless steel vats, aged for 6 months in used barrels.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Aperitif • Tomato and ricotta tart • Shellfish • Tajine of the sea.
