Viticulture
The terroir is unique: it is a granite (granodiorite with biotite and hornblende) known as Château-Thébaud granite. It represents only an island in the heart of the Muscadet vineyard, around 4%. These granite terroirs, which are "very advanced in their alteration", provide both excellent natural water drainage and very good rooting for the vines.
Oenology
Vinified and matured on fine lees in stainless steel vats.
Suggestions for accompaniment
Shellfish • Grilled sardines • Fresh goat’s cheese.
Liquid geography
This is undoubtedly one of the best-kept secrets for lovers of great, distinctive white wines: Jérémie Huchet offers some of the most outstanding value for money in French winemaking. But beyond its affordability, it is his masterful understanding of the soils that truly impresses. Amid granite, amphibolite, and gneiss, he crafts terroir-driven wines with surgical precision, making each cuvée as unique as the rock from which it was born. You’re not just tasting a Muscadet; you’re journeying through a liquid landscape of absolute finesse… A dazzling demonstration that a wine’s greatness isn’t always a matter of price, but of depth of soul and respect for the land!
