Daniel Bouland, a winemaker with golden hands, has become an absolute benchmark over the years. His Morgon Vieilles Vignes – now available in four vintages, including three single vineyard wines – is an absolute must. The Cailloux version has a deep nose of liquorice and spices. On the palate, it has fantastic density, delicious tannins and an endless finish.

Viticulture

This cuvée comes from two 80 year old vines located on the Corcelette terroir. Soils of pure granite more or less decomposed. It is a high altitude area, later and cooler than the other climates of Morgon.

Oenology

Aged in old tuns for 8 months.

Sausage in pastry • Stuffed cabbage • Grilled aubergine salad with herbs.
