Mas de Daumas Gassac is located in the middle of the Arboussas massif, on deep, perfectly drained soil that is poor in humus and plant matter and rich in mineral oxides. This terroir was formed during the accumulation of glacial gravel by the wind during the Riss, Mindel and Guntz glaciations.
Oenology
Classic Médoc vinification - long maceration - no filtration. Maturation for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels (aged 1 to 7 years).
Suggestions for accompaniment
Rack of lamb, cream of split peas with cumin - Duck breast with honey and sherry vinegar - Venison hazelnuts.
