Hirschensuperreyn is a Grüner Veltliner that plays in the big leagues. The nose opens with notes of yellow fruit, candied citrus zest, a touch of smoke and a beautiful herbaceous complexity. On the palate? Substance, superb tension, an almost tactile salinity and a depth that lingers on the finish. A wine that is precise, vibrant and structured. Technique

Viticulture

The wine is issued from vines planted in the coolest plots of the domaine (north-facing, directly on th edge of the forest, with deep loam-loess soils).

Oenology

Slowly fermented in large format wooden barrels over the course of a year. Bottled unfiltered and without sulfur but with plenty of fine lees and a touch of finely integrated, natural carbon dioxide! The fine lees keep the wine fresh and reductive; after decanting, it opens up very pleasantly and generously.
