Viticulture

A surprising terroir, seemingly unsuited to producing great wines (too gentle a slope, thin layer of Pyrenean gravel, marl outcrops preventing deep rooting!) And yet the results are there! It undoubtedly took a great deal of drainage work to optimize the soil and subsoil. Time will tell whether the planned extensions to the vineyard (on gravel that's much deeper, by the way!) will preserve the exceptional character of the cru.
