Viticulture

Situated in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, the château has been in the same family since 1826. The estate is now presided over by Lilian Barton-Sartorius alongside her father, Anthony Barton. The terroir, consisting mainly of a combination of a thick layer of quaternary gravel and subsoil clay, is ideal for the Médoc grape varieties.

Oenology

Vinification takes place at Château de Langoa Barton. Fermentation in wooden vats with temperature control, pumping over and maceration for 2 weeks. The wine spends 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
