Every drop of wine produced here is worth its weight in gold. Not in its extraordinary proportions, but rather in the accuracy and profound Banyuls character of its aesthetics. The dry whites are infinitely marine and saline. The rosés, vinous and Mediterranean. The reds are deep and earthy. The dry rancios, like photographs of the landscape, tawny and mineral. And the Banyuls exude schist, sun, the warm orange light, so dear to the great painters of the Vermeille coast.
