The latest vintage is quite simply the greatest red we’ve ever tasted at the domaine. And in the appellation! It offers a spectacularly aromatic, refined nose of spicy strawberry, with peppery, oriental accents. The palate is wonderfully fresh and sapid, with the inimitable tannins of carignan on sand. A wine of total evidence, astounding in its finesse for such a southern red.

Viticulture

Vines from 50 to 120 years old, free-standing and therefore planted directly in the sand. Terroirs Giba, S. Anna Arresi, P.to Pino, Calasetta. South / south-west exposure. Goblet cultivation.

Oenology

Vinification in wooden truncated cone vats. Maceration for 20-25 days. Aged in 750 L Austrian demi-muids and 20 HL tuns for 18 months. Successive maturation in bottles for one year.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Beef tartare, arugula and parmesan • Small suckling pig on the spit (Porceddu).
