This wine opens with aromas of black fruit (blackberry, blueberry), liquorice and fresh mint, with ideal ripeness of fruit. On the palate, the attack is frank, with a fine, fleshy texture, enhanced by a healthy liveliness that makes the wine sapid. The finish is delicious and elegant. At this price, this wine is a minor miracle, bringing us back to the oceanic, digestible character of Bordeaux !

Comme vous le savez peut-être, les Thienpont sont nombreux à Bordeaux, mais ils sont bien issus d’une seule et même famille, qui a débuté dans le commerce du vin en 1842 avec l’aïeul Camille. Aujourd’hui, ses descendants se nomment Nicolas (Pavie-Macquin, Puyguéraud, La Prade), Alexandre (Vieux Château Certain), Jacques (Le Pin) et François Thienpont. Ce dernier est à la tête de la maison Wings, qui est une référence du négoce bordelais. Les vins qu’il signe sous son nom expriment leur terroir et leur millésime avec la plus grande sincérité.
