Barbera d'Alba, Bruno Rocca - 2020

Not to be confused with Barbera d'Asti, which the estate no longer produces because its vineyard lease has expired, this Barbera d'Alba offers an intense nose of ripe fruit (plum, blackberry, cherry), spices (pink pepper) and toasted almond. On the palate, it is a sunny, full, tasty and harmonious wine, with a round, fine and elegant expression of the grape variety and above all of its terroir.

Viticulture

The grapes come from 50 to 60 year old vines in Neive, in the Currà and Fausoni crus, on limestone and blue marl soils.

Oenology

After cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in French barrels for 12 months.
