This is our big discovery at Vinitaly 2024 ! The Carlo Giacosa estate was founded several decades ago and has remained a family business ever since. Carlo Giacosa, the founder, established a tradition of high-quality winemaking that has been handed down from generation to generation. Today, his daughter Maria Grazia runs the estate alongside her son Luca. The Giacosa family favours an artisanal approach, with minimal intervention in the winemaking process to allow the terroir to express itself fully.

Oenology

Compact soil with a predominance of limestone and clay. South and south-west exposure. Single Guyot pruning. After crushing and destemming the grapes, the must fermented in contact with the skins in temperature-controlled steel vats. After racking and partial clarification, the wine is matured in 20 hl to 45 hl French oak barrels.

Duck pie with spices - Guinea fowl with morel mushrooms - Pheasant hen with juniper.
