On the nose, waves of floral aromas unfold: lime blossom, violet and daffodil. Delicate marine notes follow, evoking sea spray. There are also scents of wild mint and fennel, as well as fruit such as plum and guava. On the palate, the attack is lively and straightforward, well balanced by the silkiness, fullness and velvety feel of this vintage. The finish is invigorating, well-balanced by the saline and delicately bitter minerali. Guide Vert RVF: 95/100

Viticulture

Located in Southern Corsica, in the Taravo valley, the estate extends over 18 hectares of granite arena slopes. One of the oldest estates in Corsica, it has been the site of the study and cultivation of ancient grape varieties. Since 2000, it has been cultivated biodynamically. The density per hectare is 3500 vines. The grass is permanently and naturally grown. The soil is worked on the row. Exposure: North

Oenology

A tribute to the great men of the family, the vintages of the Collection range bear the names of the current owner's descendants, who were renowned during the Empire. Their originality and rarity are based on the complexity of the grape varieties, the quality of the vines and their age (50 years). Hand-picked in crates. Systematic sorting in the vineyard and in the cellar. Direct pressing of whole grapes. Static settling for 24 to 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation in 600L demi-muid and 1200L foudre. Aged on the lees for 9 months, then in vats for 2 months after blending the best batches. Aged in bottle for a minimum of 6 months.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Open 1 hour before serving and decant at 12°C. This wine goes well with a range of noble fish.
