Vin de France, Astérie rouge (syrah), Château Sainte-Marie - 2020

Here's a pleasant surprise: a terroir Syrah, grown on asteriated limestone soil, just like in Saint-Emilion... you should have thought of it! The wine has a lovely purple colour, intense and lively, with lovely aromas of delicately spiced red fruit. The palate is beautifully structured, rich and generous, but the wine is not lacking in freshness or sapidity. A delight and a pure discovery!
