Inspired by these memories, Elisabetta has created her Vernaccia 'Carato', a unique white wine that pays tribute to her family heritage and her love of the Burgundy terroir. The wine is vinified in new and used oak barrels, giving it a complexity and finesse reminiscent of the great white Burgundies. The nose is masterful, with fragrances of lemon and jasmine. On the palate, citrus fruit and spices dominate, with sumptuous substance and great salinity. A revelation! Wine Spectator: 92/100.

Elisabetta Fagiuoli, an emblematic figure in Tuscan winegrowing over the last 50 years, has breathed her soul into this unique estate. Perched high above San Gimignano. With its 24 hectares of vines nestling on the hillside, the estate offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape, all the way to Chianti Classico in the distance. It has demonstrated the exceptional potential of Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the greatness of Tuscan Sangiovese.

Oenology

Hand-picked. Certified organic. Fermented in neutral barrels. Aged for 12 months in neutral barrels, followed by at least two years in bottle before release.
