Olivier Jullien's verdict: "The previous vintage flirted with the 'claret' that made the reputation of Languedoc wines in the 17th and 18th centuries. This year, we've kept the intention, the structure and the intensity, but we've stretched it towards greater length and presence. A little less vinous, a more aged colour and a delicacy that contrasts with the roundness of its elder brother. It's clear that rosé never wants to wear the same swimming costume twice in a row... The eternal adolescent, the Peter Pan syndrome!"

Viticulture

Mas Jullien was created in 1985, the same year that the Coteaux du Languedoc appellation was recognised by the INAO. The area planted with vines, about 15 ha, is made up of a multitude of small plots of land with different geological characteristics: limestone gravel (for 70% of the estate's surface), schist, clay, alluvial and stony soils and villafranchian soils. No pesticides or synthetic products are used in phytosanitary treatments. No chemical weeding. Ploughing in its entirety and finishing with a pickaxe. Home-made compost.

Vinification by maceration.
