A new addition to Raffaele Moccia's range, this "pure volcanic sand" cuvée is made from 80% of 120-year-old piedirosso and 250-year-old vines of Barbera Napoletano, Marsigliese and Uva di Mondragone, ancient indigenous varieties! The wine is very open, with floral (violet) and blood orange notes, very fine tannins and a drinkable character. Amazing delicacy.

Viticulture

The cultivation of the vines here is organic. Guyot cultivation. Soil of volcanic origin with black sand. Altitude of 150 m., south-east exposure. Yield: 35 hl/ha.

Oenology

Vinification in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 3 months in vats and 3 months in bottles.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Cannelloni "au vert" (arugula, spinach) lightly gratinated - Vegetable pie - Poached or grilled poultry - Cheese.
