In the world of wine, there are estates that we admire for their consistency. Because they tell a story. Because they embody a place, an era, a person. Montevetrano is one of them.
It all began with Silvia Imparato, a talented former photographer who turned her hand to winemaking with boundless enthusiasm. She dreamt of creating a wine that was personal and authentic, one capable of expressing the terroir of San Cipriano Picentino, in the heart of Campania. And as is often the case in great stories, it was a chance encounter that changed everything: her meeting with the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
For the past few years, the baton has been taken up by Gaia, Silvia’s daughter. A graphic designer at Benetton and later Dolce & Gabbana, she swapped logos for wine. It is, in fact, she who designed the label for ‘Core’ – a heart drawn in wine as a nod to the family’s passion.
