It is a term specific to beverages containing a very slight effervescence (very slight fizz). "Chasselas is often made livelier by a hint of effervescence." This is how Claude Dovaz translated it in Jancis Robinson's "The Wine Book". However, our research has not found this word in any dictionaries.
