A Burgundian appellation in the Côte de Nuits region. Production area located to the north near Nuits-Saint-Georges, more precisely within plots in the commune of Vosne-Romanée in the Côte d'Or department. Classified as an AOC grand cru in 1992. Area under production: 1 ha 65 a 25 ca. Vinified as red wine only. Black grape variety: Pinot Noir. The incorporation of a certain number of white and grey grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot into the vines intended for producing red wines is authorised, provided that they do not exceed 15%. It can be kept for a very long time, from 10 to 20 years. Ideal serving temperature: between 13 and 14°C for a young wine; between 14 and 16°C for an older wine. Pair with: venison terrine, duck with turnips, mushroom fricassee or Bresse cockerel or chicken.
