Definition: Filant

Back
For an oily wine that flows like a fatty liquid. Alteration caused by fat disease, which mainly affects white wines at certain stages of their development, but which can disappear. Fat disease makes the wine flat, tasteless and unpleasant. Good aeration is sometimes enough to remove this defect (see fat and oily).
