Definition: Chablais Vaudois

The CIVCV (Communauté Interprofessionnelle des Vins du Chablais Vaudois) is an association of grape and wine producers in the Chablais Vaudois region. Membership of this group, which currently has 51 members representing the vast majority of production in the Chablais region, is entirely voluntary. The CIVCV's purpose is to study and coordinate all wine-growing policy in the Chablais region of Vaud, to draw up regulations and to carry out tasks in the areas of competence delegated to it by the canton. In particular, its main objectives are to define a coherent strategy for the production and marketing of wines from the Chablais region of Vaud and to implement all appropriate means to ensure its application.
In order to clearly position its members' products, the CIVCV has appointed a promotion committee tasked with developing events that highlight the generic designation "Chablais wines". Information is available on the official website at:
