Definition: bourdieu

A term from the Bordeaux region that originally referred to a rural building. It later came to refer to all new wine-growing estates, including residential and wine-producing buildings, as well as vineyard plots. Not to be confused with borde or borderie, which in the Bordeaux region refers to a farmstead practising mixed farming.
