Technique

Viticulture

The Delon family bought the château in 1997 and immediately set about restoring the lustre of this estate in the south-west of the appellation. Although the reputation of Pomerol wines is inversely proportional to its surface area (789 hectares), the omnipresence of its king grape variety, Merlot, somewhat obscures the fact that this appellation is highly diversified in terms of terroirs.

Oenology

Located on Catusseau, Nénin benefits from a grey sandy soil on a sandy-clay subsoil with numerous ferro-manganic concretions, known in the region as "crasse de fer" (iron dross).
