The darkest colour of the Clarence Dillon reds. The nose is ultra-classic for this vintage, with hints of cedar and Havana, not a hint of ageing or alcohol, strict, noble, almost monastic. Magnificent velvety texture with an expansive character coupled with a cooler, fresher flavour. The vinosity is magnificent and the wine has great structure, a touch firm at this stage, but which further ageing will no doubt succeed in taming and refining. This is unquestionably the most classic Haut-Brion of the last 5 vintages, and it possesses tremendous class in a timeless style.
