Viticulture
Originally, at the beginning of the 18th century, the Milon vines were used for Lafite's second wine. Several successions brought the vineyard to nearly 50 hectares in 1855. In 1962, the Rothschilds bought the estate and undertook major work to create a 72-hectare vineyard in 2001. The vines are planted on gravelly soil mixed with wind-blown sand on a limestone substrate. They are adjacent to Lafite and are maintained by the same teams.
