A charming, energetic red that challenges preconceptions about the Bourg appellation. The nose is expressive, combining ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry), subtle spices and a delicate floral touch. On the palate, it is juicy and supple, with a lovely liveliness that keeps everything nicely balanced. The tannins are fine, the fruit vibrant, and the whole very easy to drink. A sincere, joyful wine, ready to be enjoyed now! RVF : 92/100

Viticulture

2 types of soil: sandy-loam on red gravel and clay-limestone. Age of vines 25 years.

Oenology

100% destemmed. The gravelly part is matured in concrete vats (2/3 of the blend), while the clay-limestone part is matured in 300-litre 3-wine barrels.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Paprika and rosemary marinated chicken skewers - Pizza with grilled vegetables and shavings of sheep's milk tomme cheese - Grilled flank steak, caramelised shallots and new potatoes.
